As bicycle makers, we pour our hearts and souls into every decision we make, from the services we offer, the brands we carry, the materials we select and custom options that we offer. We make beautiful products that perform — products that people want to ride. We solve problems for our clients and we don’t 'push' products. We use our passion to help people get more from riding.

We started KindHuman Bicycles to combine our love of cycling with our deep passion for making the world better. As lifelong cyclists and entrepreneurs, we wanted to build a business that stands for something more. We believe in treating people with kindness and respect; delivering personalized products and services; and helping riders feel faster, stronger, and more capable.

From the very beginning, it was important to constantly strive to make people feel good for being a part of KindHuman - customers, athletes, and employees alike. That idea still guides everything we do. At KindHuman, we embody our namesake by treating people with kindness, being approachable, and most importantly — delivering the best possible products, services and customer experience we can.

KindHuman Bicycles was founded in 2013 by 3 avid cyclists, who shared a passion for cycling, and also for excellence in customer care. For them, ‘KindHuman’ was more than a name — it was also a method and a motive. 

Gavin, Ayal and Adam are the original founding partners and collectively shaped much of our early identity. KindHuman grew from simple pencil sketches of BMX concepts bikes into fully functional elaborate road, gravel and cycle-cross bike designs. Even in the early days, KindHuman had the audacious idea that they could not only make our own bikes, but that we could also improve the way people buy, build, and ride them. Many years later we are proud to carry exceptional bike brands within our flagship shop displayed alongside our own KindHuman bikes. So regardless of your riding style or preference – we have a bike that you will love!

What began as an idea between passionate cyclists has grown into something much bigger.

Running KindHuman has been the ride of a lifetime. We have faced strong headwinds, climbed hills that seemed to go on forever, and have even crashed hard on a few occasions. But we have also experienced pure joy — like riding on warm sunny days with our closest friends and achieving the near impossible.

We’ve learned how to build something meaningful in a noisy, competitive industry. And we’ve done it all with a small team, staying true to our values while competing against the biggest and most recognized brands in the world.

KindHuman is not just a bike company – we are a vehicle to draw more riders into cycling, to bring people together around important events, to empower cyclists everywhere to do more – however they define ‘more’, and to give back by helping to grow cycling within their communities. 

The foundation of KindHuman has been built on a proven product, a clear mission, a strong reputation, and loyal customers. Our focus is on continuing to grow our impact — building the experiences that will allow more riders to discover KindHuman and experience cycling in a more personal and meaningful way.

Gavin walked into a sporting goods store when he was 12 years old and it all clicked; he knew what he wanted to do with his life's work. When he was in grade seven, he had the opportunity to participate in a bike mechanic class as part of metal shop where he had the chance to weld a bike.

A former professional level racer who grew up helping his father run bike tours in Israel before moving to Toronto and helping Adam and Gavin to make the company what it is today.
