Gavin did it! R2NYC 2024.
We’re very proud of our founder, Gavin, and the whole KindHuman cycling team for completing their epic five day, 850 km journey, riding from Toronto to New York City, to raise funds for Campfire Circle. We caught up with Gavin to give us his thoughts on R2NYC 2024.

Tell us about the ride, was it what you expected?
The ride was one of the best experiences of my life. I got the chance to push myself physically and mentally. Campfire Circle did an amazing job taking care of us and all the little details that make for a great trip. Best of all… the people I met and rode with were amazing. I made a number of beautiful friendships that will last a lifetime.

What was a memorable moment of R2NYC 2024?
Finishing day 4 which had 2,635M of climbing. I pushed myself to my limit that day thinking of a little girl named Ainsley who I'll never get to meet. Her dad told me all about her during our ride the day before. She was a remarkable little girl and I'm so glad I got to spend 5 days riding with her dad who is now a friend for life.

What advice would you give to people interested in joining the ride next year?
Take care of the small things and the big things will take care of themselves. What I mean by this is start your training early, do it consistently, and don't give up. Small efforts done consistently over time lead to big results. If you're open to help… reach out to me and I'll share the specifics of what worked for me.
Better yet, reach out to the amazing people at MedicallyFit - they changed my life!
